Worked on a REST API which would ease the process of manually migrating the software's and tools installed in a legacy ICP Machine to a new machine. Initially, the CHEF Cookbook was configured to install a specific version to the new machines while migrating. This was a manual task. With the provided solution, as soon as a new machine gets commissioned, the CHEF Role will be automatically attached to it and the CHEF cookbook will be executed with the versions which are passed on via the REST API. When the REST API is hit via postman/insomnia, the API returns the versions of all the softwares installed on a legacy ICP Machine. Then these versions are passed on to the CHEF Cookbook which will install the softwares with versions same as that of the legacy ICP Machine. Show less
