  Account Manager

  Being an account manager for Wyse Power required me to oversee the day to day running of two major accounts looking after the connections, testing, maintenance and disconnection of temporary electrics and plumbing. The role required me to work as an implant in a hire centre environment giving me the advantage of working directly with the employees of my main accounts which therefore allowed me to build strong relationships. I have found that being on hand to help with enquires and issues that arise on a day to day basis has enabled me to deal with these quickly and efficiently. I implemented various processes to ensure that quotes were provided on time and monitored. Once the business was secured I was responsible for the follow up of obtaining purchase orders to ensure a smooth payment process was enabled. My attendance at regular sales meetings was required to present my sales figures for the previous period along with detailed updates on potential orders I had been working on & when I expected them to come to fruition.   Sales and Estimator Team Leader

  I was brought into IG GRP as it was first starting up which meant that not only did I have to look after a number of different roles I also had to put in place systems and procedures in order to get information flowing smoothly around the company, upon starting I was the only employee in England with the other members of the company in Ireland so had to be very reactive to issues that arose. I started in production planning spending time putting together a production planning sheet to keep an eye on production and making sure that dates were being kept to and a high quality of units was maintained. My next challenge was to move into Sales and estimating where over three years we have doubled our order intake every year and built a team around me. This role not only required me to keep on top of incoming enquiries, making sure that all projects are apprised and quoted on time, but also required me to re visit existing quotes making phone calls to chase and secure orders, for this I had to have a in-depth knowledge of the costing structure to enable me to make quick and accurate decisions when it came to discounting quotes. Other roles that I have been involved with are distribution, managing our products in a yard, keeping track of PODs and Invoices. One of the most testing and also rewarding part of being part of IG GRP is the fact that I have not only been responsible for my team but also have to make decisions and be the senior member of staff for a wide range of issues that arise from running an office which I believe has given me a very well rounded knowledge of all aspects of an office and the different departments that it is comprised of.
