  I am a senior pharmacy technician at the inpatient pharmacy at OSU Medical Center. I have gained knowledge and experience in a hospital setting. I am competent in all areas of the department including the IV room which is a 797-certified clean room, all of the smaller satellite pharmacies specializing in surgical intensive care patients and chemotherapy, and also triage phone calls, answer questions, and control the work flow of the main pharmacy.   I Completed 200 intern hours in Sexual Health and Wellness Department under the direction of Audrey Regan, PhD. I attended and participated in meetings to discuss Ryan White Part A funding. I also evaluated records of clients receiving assistance from Ryan White grant funding to determine funds available and entered data into electronic database. Additionally, I analyzed data from Columbus Public Health clients tested for HIV using Microsoft Excel and SPSS to support proposal for project to identify most at-risk population. Once the data were compiled, I identified risk factors for contracting HIV among males in the Columbus,OH region as a final research project, upon IRB approval, and displayed findings with a poster presentation and research paper. Finally, I conducted research concerning the epidemiology of HepatitisC, its symptoms and complications, and importance of Hepatitis C virus prevention, testing, and treatment. Show less
