  Youth Basketball Referee

  I refereed youth basketball in order to share my love of athletics with the young athletes. Refereeing allowed me to practice staying calm in hectic situations whenever there were disagreements amongst the fans or athletes. As referee, I was in charge of the entire venue, giving me experience in managing large crowds of people at once in order to create a welcoming learning environment for the young athletes.

  Econ Ex Monetary Policy Extern

  I was selected from a group of peers by the department of economics to participate in an independent research program on monetary policy. I analyzed public data sets and and scholarly articles relating to the labor market in order to create a policy proposal for the Federal Reserve to enact in response to the sharp increase in unemployment resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.

  I spent my summer interning in Asset Management at Hilltop Securities. I designed a dashboard summarizing the state of the cash sweep program to be used by decision making managers using Power BI and discovered data sources to be used to automatically update the data on a daily basis. I also analyzed cash sweep program asset allocation opportunities across money market funds and bank insured deposits and proposed a plan to potentially increase annual company revenue by $9 MM. In my time working with the cash sweep program, I was also able to participate in negotiations of money market fund revenue shares for over $1.3 Billion of assets. Show less
