      Serve as a program/project coordinator, responsible for providing planning and project management oversight for designated USIBWC programs and projects with a focus on supporting planning efforts in the Operations and Maintenance Division. Provide cost benefit analysis and plan of studies/approach for projects. Develop short and long term plans to support the USIBWC strategic plan including agency mission, vision, goals, and objectives. Work with staff from the Commission’s Mexican Section on planning and engineering issues related to solving International issues between the US and Mexico. Serve as the primary point-of-contact throughout the planning process of projects. Manages groups of similar projects that comprise a programmatic portion of the overall agency mission. Assists management officials in drafting diplomatic minutes and policy related to the solution of complexbinational engineering issues through planning expertise. Provides support to various programs, for example, might include dams, water diversion structures, bridges, flood walls, levees, river control structures, sediment removal, environmental restoration, wastewater treatment plants and other facilities, or any combination thereof. Applies engineering and scientific analyses along with USIBWC policy and program/project managementknowledge to achieve effective scheduling, funding, and use of resources while ensuring the agency pursuesoptimum approaches that meet program/project objectives. Responsible for conceptual/initial design planning for construction projects to include budget estimates, reporting, and team direction Show less Primary responsibility for developing and conducting hydrologic-hydraulic engineering studies, analyses, evaluations, and designs associated with water resources development of major river basins, primarily the Rio Grande and Colorado River. Improvements include flood control, hydroelectric power, water supply, bank stabilization, drainage, irrigation, water-quality control and recreation developments.
