I advocate for and oversee the national laboratory working group-related activities at the National and Subnational levels, ensuring grant implementation across the federation.I represent the national laboratory directorate, alongside the director of medical laboratory services and laboratory services leads in other departments and agencies of the government, at various national, regional, and international meetings, workshops, and conferences to share best practices and learn from other countries.I have led policy formulation for integrating laboratory services to improve resource utilization in Nigeria. I currently manage laboratory quality systems, biological specimen referrals, data management, and biosafety thematic areas of the laboratory service strategic plan in Nigeria.I conduct periodic supervisory visits to teaching hospitals and Federal Medical Centres in various states of the country to monitor quality management implementation. I supported the accreditation efforts of tertiary healthcare laboratories such as OAUTHC Molecular Laboratory, based on ISO 15189:2012.I oversaw the dissemination of the national integrated specimen referral policy to over 10,000 laboratory professionals and stakeholders nationwide, supported by USAID and the Global Fund.
