  Barranquilla+20, a youth-led and women-led NGO founded in 2012, dedicated to educating and mobilizing young, children and women to address environmental global crisis. Our focus areas include biodiversity conservation, feminist leadership for climate justice, climate change, education, policy inclusion, and social innovation. Among our key initiatives are the MallorquinVIVE water school, forums on climate change and the post-2015 agenda, and consultations on humanitarian and disaster risk reduction.To date, our educational endeavors have impacted over 30,000 young individuals. Barranquilla+20 has earned recognition for its impactful work, including the "Young Community Innovators" accolade from BAYER, acknowledgment by PAVCO as "Youth Protecting Water in Colombia," and the honor of being National Volunteer Prize winners in Colombia. Additionally, we serve as the Colombia focal points for the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN).Currently, we are proud recipients of the Generation Equality Youth grant from the Gates Foundation, further underlining our commitment to driving positive change.   Responsibilities: Direct and Coordinate the formulation of the Comprehensive Plan for Territorial Climate Change Management Nariño acts for the Climate 2020-2035 adopted by ordinance 042 of 2019. Also, supervised the implementation of 10 pilot projects of climate change in the sectors of LULUCF, Biodiversity and Ecosystems, E waste, among others implemented and in Nariño and the coordination of the South Pacific Regional Node of Climate Change for the SISCLIMA. I also created the Strategy for the Respect of Nature, Protection and Guarantee of the rights of nature in Narino, Colombia adopted also by ordinance. I also promoted Narino's candidacy to the Under2 coalition, the coalition of subnational governments with the greatest potential for climate action in the world. Through the Under 2 Coalition, we attended the Forum of Governments and Climate of the Americas in Argentina, the Forum of Governors and Climate Action in San Francisco, and the COP25 in Madrid.   Regional Organizer of Latin America and the Caribbean of the “Join for Climate - Rise for Climate” campaign (June-September 2018) developed by 350.org organization worldwide. The campaign sought to mobilize citizens, institutions, community groups, among others to demand greater ambitions towards a world free of fossil fuels. As a regional organizer I coordinated and supported the Organization of more than 10 demonstrations and campaigns in Iquitos, Bogotá, Ituango, Pasto, Jamaica, Maracay, Venezuela, Chile, Meta, raising awareness for climate ambition, healthy cities and ecosystems, among others.
