  My role in McNamara’s was as an apprentice mechanic which started off with light service work. As my role progressed I have worked on all times of vehicles, carburettors and fuel injection. I am fully capable of removing, repairing and refitting any engine, suspension or drivetrain. A lot of my time was spent diagnosing electrical and emission relates problems. I also worked within the parts and service department. It was also my job to be the first port of call when customers arrived to have their car worked on, I would price up the work and the parts then inform the customer of what needed to be done and a price. I man managed our electrical and diesel companies and workshops nationwide.   My role in Matty’s was as Parts Manager, to reorganise their old store room setting, up a new computer system using Sage accounting, list every part in stock into the new system. I would also update all job cards for any work carried out in our workshop and inform customers of any repairs the needed to be carried out. I also took control of end of month accounts issuing statements and sending them out to account customers.I dealt with all suppliers making sure we always had the service parts we needed and looking after smaller service yards in the local area.   With Hella my role was to take inbound calls from customers to place orders and find the correct parts they needed while trying to up sell on every call. I also had to make sure backorders were released every day as well as make proactive out bound calls to increase sales and customer support. I would co-ordinate with our sale team to make sure we were targeting the correct customer’s with the correct promotions.I was employed by Hella for my knowledge with motor parts, diagnostic computers and software so that I could be our in house backup for our sales reps and customers helping them with diagnostics and garage equipment issues. I looked after our customer problems with diagnostic software, Aircon Machines and also our spray painting equipment.   My daily tasks as a Technical Sales Representative include scheduled meetings with customers to demonstrate our range of garage and diagnostic garage equipment. Part of this role is to teach users how to get the most from the equipment that they purchased. I have yearly set sales targets which our garage equipment sales division has met for the previous two years and will again this year. I also look after all equipment maintenance and repairs both on and off site. In February 2015 I took up the role as Training Academy Co-ordinator and since then I have been developing a full technical training portfolio.
