  As a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy, working effectively and taking initiative while efficiently prioritizing multiple tasks ahead of schedule was a necessity. I was responsible for ensuring the accuracy and safety of prescriptions by incorporating quality control checks into every step, so customers would receive the correct prescription within a timely manner. Occasionally, I would contact insurance companies when an insurance claim had not gone through to determine the probable cause and solve the problem.   In November of 2017, I was promoted to a new position as a Customer Service Representative where I would communicate with clients and analyze our low and medium quality sequencing data and determine the best course of modification to provide a higher quality sequence. I would troubleshoot the overall quality of sequences in the lab including setting up reactions to test reagent quality. I was the only individual at our branch responsible for designing primers and assembling sequences for our Primer Walking service in order to sequence a designated amount of basepairs in the forward and/or reverse direction. I answered technical questions from clients to help improve overall sequencing quality by looking for trends in results. As a Laboratory Technician I purified PCR products if necessary and performing PCR assembly prior to DNA sequencing. I followed the standard operating procedures of each process to ensure uniformity and accuracy of results. I recorded DNA concentrations via Nanodrop to determine the quantity of each sample and primer needed for a high quality sequence.
