This involved working closely with teachers, community groups, councillors and colleagues, and managing a £24,000 budget provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund.   I managed a multi-disciplinary team and delivered community engagement and coastal policy. I represented my employer at the Local Government Association Special Interest Group (Coastal), North East Coastal Group, and Flamborough Head European Marine Site Management Scheme. I secured £0.47m from the Coastal Communities Fund and gave radio and television interviews to local, regional and international broadcasters. I was the project officer for the East Riding Coastal Change Pathfinder, a £1.2m scheme offering relocation and adaptation support to communities at risk from coastal erosion in Yorkshire. I engaged with residents, managed a budget, briefed councillors, and wrote press releases for the local, regional and national media.

  I helped to deliver capital projects within the Creating a Better Place regeneration framework for Oldham in Greater Manchester. I worked to secure investment from the Future High Streets Fund (£10.75m), Towns Fund (£24.4m), and High Street Accelerator Pilot Programme (£0.25m). I supported projects including the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Prudential Building (ongoing), demolition of Oldham Magistrates' Court, and development of the Oldham Town Centre Conservation Area Management Plan. I was also the secretariat lead for the Oldham Town Centre Board from its inception in February 2020. Show less
