  Brunel's external website has over 20,000 pages, and is the University's main marketing and communications platform. My main responsibilities included: analysis and development of design and functionality, content editing and page build, and liaison and support to web editors across the institution. Other activities include: reporting on user trends through Google Analytics and advising on search engine optimisation strategy and emerging technologies.I also provided project management expertise to a programme to migrate Brunel’s Intranet to Microsoft SharePoint 2013. Key tasks include using Microsoft Project to develop and monitor the project schedule, designing and managing the user consultation process, and liaising between the technical team and the project board.   Delt Shared Services are ICT providers to Plymouth City Council and the Northern Eastern & Western Devon Clinical Commissioning Group. I was responsible for the technical implementation of a new digital services platform for the Council using the Firmstep suite of products that included: a citizen self service portal, back office forms and workflow, a new website (using Drupal CMS) and integrations into existing business systems using both web services and database extraction.The new website followed GDS content standards to improve the user experience and was focussed on driving users to the online self service options to reduce unstructured email communications and to allow customers to transact with the Council at a time and place of their choosing. As well as providing a better experience for the customer the project allowed the client to realise savings by decommissioning several legacy platforms. Show less
