  Laboratory technician

  During my time as a Laboratory Technician at CPS Color, part of the paint company Tikkurilla OY, I worked in a junior role focusing on supporting the daily operations of the laboratory. At the time, I was studying chemical engineering at Lund University of Technology. Through this summer job, I gained valuable experience in laboratory work and a deeper understanding of the paint industry, while developing my language skills and adapting to living and working in another country.My main duties included:Pigment analysis: Assisting in the analysis and evaluation of different types of colour pigments to ensure their quality and performance. This included preparing samples and performing basic tests.Laboratory testing: Perform laboratory tests independently for submission of results to senior technicians and chemists. Documenting and reporting results according to standard protocols.Quality Control: Contribute to the quality control of colour pigments by performing routine tests and ensuring they met company specifications.Collaboration: Work closely with senior colleagues to support research and development projects in the colour industry.
