  Using Nature Based Solutions (NBS) for urban regeneration faces citizens resistance, due to their lack of awareness and reduced incentivization. The former mining capital of Romania reinvents the city through an NBS approach, overcoming obstacles thanks to an immaterial Local Environmental Utility. Its journey from mining gold and silver towards mining crypto is smoothened by an Urban Innovative Action initiative. An Intellignet GIS (iGIS) supports monitoring of sites development via ground measurements and Earth Observation data. Show less GREENTOP aims at assessing the feasibility of using crowdsourcing (contributions from Internet users) and crowdcomputing (information processing by Internet connected computers), in order to rapidly process Earth Observation Data and make it available in an open repository. The applications of this would include climate change mitigation, forestry, land cover, land use, urban planning, precision agriculture, as well as other fields, benefiting the public administration and the public at large.
