A maternity leave contract opportunity in a 24 bed ward caring for complex medical & surgical patients with endocrine disorders and renal failure from acute and chronic episodes right through to end-stage requiring peritoneal dialysis, haemodialysis & paired kidney exchange and transplantation. Nurse Resource Transition Pool builds on nursing skills in a varied and constantly changing work environment from the Emergency Department to Rehabilitation. Regular ward allocations during this time included Assessment & Planning Unit (APU), ED Short Stay, Emergency General Surgery (EGS) and Pallative Care. Completion of the Graduate Nurse Program over two rotations. The first in Geriatric Evaluation Management; a 24 bed unit providing sub-acute nursing care for patients presenting with a range of medical and post surgical conditions. The second, in a high acuity Trauma & Plastics surgical ward; a 30 bed unit providing nursing care to Reconstructive Plastics, Head and Neck Oncology, Trauma and Maxillofacial patients from a wide cross section of the community.
