  Duty manager

  1. Direct and co-ordinate staff and resources allocated by the Group Manager and/or Assistant Manager to ensure that all service points within the Centre deliver safe, effective, high quality services, assessing and responding to the need of the local communities.2. Monitor the operation of leisure facility service points to ensure implementation of safe operating procedures for both staff and the public in line with the requirements of Everybody Sport & Recreation Ltd. health and safety policies and guidelines.3. Monitor working practices to ensure proper and appropriate procedures are being followed in respect of maintenance, cleaning and customer care at all service points and prepare in liaison with the Group Manager/Assistant Manager any recommendations in respect of facility or equipment improvements, repairs or replacements and general customer service improvements.4. Motivate, develop and be responsible for the staff of all the service points in the Centre during the shift pattern: participating in their selection, evaluating their training needs and participating in their training to ensure good communications in order to maximize the effectiveness of the workforce.5. Oversee cash handling and other income collection procedures to ensure all staff and service points fully comply with the Trusts financial regulations.6. Monitor programmes and activities highlighting underperforming areas to Group Manager/Assistant Manager to ensure good financial performance, including suggesting innovative means for maximising income.7. Actively contribute to the promotion of the leisure facilities and services offered at all service points and assist with developing agreed programmes of promotional events and marketing activities in liaison with Senior Managers.
