GEI site representative (QA/QC) in a slope stabilization project for Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Structure 67 is a 400-ft tall lattice tower that sits atop a Loessial soil bluff, comprised of very fine-grained silt or clay, along the Mississippi riverbank which has been eroding it for quite some time. GEI designed for TVA a stabilization of the structure by means of a steel sheetpile wall (52 units, alternate 80-ft and 40-ft elements) anchored to capable soil layers by means of 26 post-grouted tiebacks. Project was delivered on-time and on-budget, despite being executed in the middle of the COVID-19 crisis. Show less
