  XL Africa https://www.xl-africa.com/ is the World Bank Group's pan-African accelerator program for digital scale-ups looking to raise series A funding. The program has been implemented by a consortium of VC4A, IMC Worldwide and Koltai&Co. Over a period of 5 months, 20 companies received mentoring from global and local experts, learned through a tailor-made curriculum, increased their regional visibility, and got access to potential corporate partners and investors. As part of the core program team, Alina contributed to overall program design, led the outreach campaign and entrepreneur recruitment effort, coordinated the selection process, negotiated corporate and VC partnerships, recruited local mentor pool and brokered partnerships with AfricaCom and AfricArena events.   In consortium with Oxfam, ButterflyWorks and IOM, VC4A runs a 3-year youth empowerment program in Egypt, Nigeria and Somalia funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. VC4A is responsible for the youth entrepreneurship pillar. As a program manager, Alina played a key role in the overall program design, implementation plan and partnership formation. Alina oversaw the launch of accelerators in the three project countries, and provides technical support and capacity building to local accelerator partners as needed. Alina coordinates outreach campaigns, in-country road shows, entrepreneur and investor events, virtual incubation, online academy design and investor showcases/demo days. Other responsibilities include budgeting, M&E, reporting and donor-related administration. Show less L'Afrique Excelle https://afrique-excelle.com/ is the World Bank Group's program designed to support growth stage, post-revenue start-ups from Francophone Africa aiming to raise Series A $250K-5M. The program is managed by a consortium of VC4A, Suguba and Sahel'Innov. In her role as a Project Manager and Team Lead, Alina was end-responsible for the overall program design and delivery, including partnership strategy with investors, corporates and media, budget, M&E and reporting, and the coordination of effort between the consortium's members.   The AEDIB|NET project is the first step of a broader approach for the African–European collaboration on digitalisation and innovation. The project being launched under the broader political initiative AEDIB. Funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme and coordinated by GIZ in Germany, AEDIB|NET brings together a network of 13 partners, with VC4A as part of the consortium.
