On a daily basis I work denied and rejected claims and take many patient phone calls during the day assisting them with questions on their EOBs, taking payments over the phone and setting up payment plans on their balances. I have been in the DME field and DME billing since 2000. I have seen many changes in this industry and I keep myself updated with the latest trends and changes.   After 20 years in DME and Pharmacy, I have made a career change to become medical coder and biller. I worked hard for 8 months with schooling at night after working an 8hr day and studied hard to pass my coding test and become a certified professional code and recently passed my Certification test for Professional billing. I had been doing medical coding and billing for years but not at this level. I've finally obtained my goal. I love my position at FCP and I am so appreciative of the awesome position I am offered. Once you are certified, that's only the beginning. Working hands on coding and auditing claims is a learning task every day but I get excited each day at work.
