Small Business Seminar Award Winner Hillsdale College Dec 2015 This 50 hour seminar consisted of a concentration in the four key areas of opening and managing a business: marketing, financing, strategic management, human resources. The knowledge learned was tested and applied with my own personal business idea. I created a prototype, tested the product in various labor markets, financed and priced my operation, and marketed the product to groups in Austin, Grand Rapids, and Santa Barbara. Based on my findings and projections, the business was deemed successful. My success with developing this "start up", was honored by receiving a $10,000 scholarship.
