  Worked my way up the ranks for Trinidad Drilling working primarily in the Fox Creek region drilling Duvernay wells on a walking 1500HP triple rig. Accepted an internal job offer working for Trinidad Drilling International in Saudi Arabia. Apart from drilling and standard day to day operations, my responsibilities included training and mentoring local employees to eventually take over operations. I enjoy working in the Middle East but did not renew my contract when I was accepted into the Petroleum Engineering Technology program at NAIT. Show less

  Drilling technologist summer student

  Completed Cenovus's first ever SAGD drilling benchmarking project which involved studying 15 operators and 290 toursheets. Analysis and broke down parameters such as: meters/day, non productive time, BHA configurations, well design, casing specs, circulating times, and cement blends. This project gave me a great technical and operational foundation on how every operator in SAGD drills their respective wells.

  - Create MPD programs, leverage MPD knowledge and modeling wellbore hydraulics to incorporate MPD operations into client drilling programs and well designs for narrow window wells, sour wells, wells with sensitive formations, and performance drilling applications.- Provide ongoing engineering and operations support, monitor real time operations to ensure adherence to the MPD program, maintain field reporting documentation, and generate engineering reports. - Work with management to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives throughout the engineering department and company.- Prepare quick look assessments for new clients, analyze the appropriate application of Beyond Energy’s MPD equipment and expertise to each specific well or drilling campaign.- Meet customer drilling schedules by providing after-hours engineering support as needed. - Create and facilitate the implementation of standard operating procedures for MPD field & engineering procedures Show less Started up MPD field operations for Beyond Energy in both Mexico and the Ivory Coast. While working on Jackup rigs in Mexico, my primary responsibility was to teach local Beyond employees how to operate and maintain Beyond’s RCD’s & manifolds as well as instruct them on how to complete Beyond’s documentation.While in the Ivory Coast I worked on a semi-sub tender assisted rig with a full crew of Canadian Expats. We assisted the Operator by providing wellbore stability on 8 different sections over 5 wells. Show less
