  Financial Services Regulatory PracticePreston's practice focuses on regulatory compliance for federally and provincially regulated financial institutions. He advises Canadian and foreign banks, insurance companies, commercial and consumer finance companies, mortgage brokers, trust companies, loan companies and participants in the payment card industry. Preston has experience implementing and maintaining compliance programs; drafting lending agreements (both commercial and consumer) and insurance policies and advising on complex regulatory matters.Preston practises in all areas of regulatory compliance and focuses on consumer protection issues relating to financial services and products. He has considerable experience advising with respect to consumer protection frameworks under the Bank Act, the Insurance Companies Act and provincial legislation concerning consumer protection, insurance, mortgage brokers, consumer/credit reporting, loan and trust companies, and credit unions.While on secondment at a large telecommunications firm Preston worked on a number of in-house corporate matters.
