In addition assisting engineering director by documenting and improving current product designs and designing a new version of a tilt sensor (device which measures rotation) for future production using various algorithms in order to improve the raw data retrieved from gravimetric sensors. Tasks: Work includes procurement activities including Requisitions and Material Take Offs for bulk pipe and fittings, valves, special items such as Turning Vane Elbows, Calculations (including reinforcement pad and sleeve, Wall Thickness checks, trunnion sizing, PSV reaction force calculations etc.), isometric and layout creation for each project, stress analysis using Caesar II and investigation of various pumps, compressors and heaters including Fluid Flow modelling. Work also includes provision for various well projects supplying piping and valving including special API flange adapters, small Chemical Injection Units etc. Field support for construction of TEG and Regeneration units and acting as Package engineer for purchase of a Flare, Low and High Pressure duplex vessels and a Membrane Removal Plant including Heat Exchangers and several vessels both CS and SS.Specific Projects–  Hides Air Compressor Replacement APF CPF Integrated Project – TEG System Ma’aden Sweetening ProjectSubsidence Review of water transfer facility. A good overview of the project mechanically, electrically and for civil works was required to assist in capturing all construction activities.Task – Daily interaction with WP & Rio Tinto managers; project engineers/leaders; site planners/schedulers; civil, mechanical & electrical contractors; operators and the controls team to update/forecast progress and direct current construction works through construction supervisors / coordinators. Task – Flag potential road blocks to management including attention to resource requirements - personnel and equipment (e.g. specialised equipment/materials). Task – Broad familiarity with site standards for piping e.g. NDT, welding, crane loads, HSE requirements to assist in planning jobs for construction. Show less

  Part of the Automated Reconfigurable Mission Adaptive Digital Assembly Systems (ARMADAS) project being completed within the Coded Structure Lab (CSL). This project is developing and demonstrating autonomous assembly of digital materials/structures. My experience including robot development and prototyping and structural testing and analysis of lattice assemblies.
