  Kentucky Organ Donor Affiliates (KODA) is dedicated to saving lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation. KODA was formed to establish a statewide educational and procurement network. KODA is an independent, non-profit organ and tissue procurement agency. Direct and oversee the Donation Strategy Improvement Teams in six Kentucky and Indiana hospitals to develop and implement strategic development plans for hospital specific donation outcomes; conduct needs assessments, guide teams in delivery of action plans to hard wire best practices for high donation consent rates. Significant focus on building positive client relationships and acting as a liaison between organizations. Provide internal support to KODA departmental staff for training, process improvement programs, and quality assurance to align organization with mission and vision. Key Results:• Successfully developed and launched KODA’s Donation Champion Training program designed to train nurses, physicians, and chaplains to become donation resources in their hospitals. This program is utilized statewide with 400 + hospital staff members trained leading to an increase in timely referral rates of 95%.• National recognition 8 consecutive years for 2 key hospital partners achieving high donation rates above the national average of 75% leading to 612 lives saved.• Project leader for creation of 2 training videos used within partner hospitals throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana to ensure consistency of training information.• Project leader for training video used for mandatory Kentucky State Coroner yearly competencies.• Organized 3 successful statewide conferences for hospital partners with average attendance of 300 physicians, nurses, and chaplains.
