  Researched the transport of plutonium contaminated soil colloids through the vadose zone via fielf flow fractionation (2002-2003). The goal of the reasearch was to determine if and how plutonium could end up in the Snake River Aquifer. Developed methods, using different polymers, to modify contaminated soil and prevent plutonium contaminated soil colloids from moving through the vadose zone(2004).

  Project consultant responsible for environmental compliance programs, DOT hazmat shipping, and Remedy Decision-defined sampling and monitoring plan while ensuring compliance with client programs and procedures. Identified regulated activities and developed, implemented, and maintained and environmental compliance program, including an overarching environmental compliance roadmap, a waste management program, a stormwater pollution prevention plan, and an oil spill prevention control and countermeasure plan; ensuring affected employees were trained and regulatory reports were submitted. Identified DOT hazmat requirements and developed procedures for proper management. Managed the sampling and monitoring program to ensure compliance with the requirements of Wyoming DEQ remedy decision. Activities included coordinating sampling and monitoring events, managing field employees, communicating with and directing personnel, managing data QA/QC, interpreting data, and reporting results. Worked with other involved parties to revise sampling and monitoring programs as a result of meeting remedial goals.Key Projects•Engineer responsible for identifying environmental and natural resource permits necessary to drill and produce oil on over 20,000 acres of land in northern Louisiana. Developed, implemented, and maintained an environmental compliance program, including a waste management program, a media management plan, a wastewater treatment plant compliance plan, a stormwater pollution prevention plan for the facility’s Wyoming Pollution Discharge Elimination System (WYPDES) stormwater permit, and an oil spill prevention, control, and countermeasure (SPCC) plan.   I am directly responsible for managing the City's Sanitary Sewer and Stormwater Division, which includes coordinating, promoting, and managing all programs and operational activities relating to environmental and sustainability compliance for the Sanitary collection system and the Stormwater collection system. I coordinate departmental activities and priorities with other City departments and external agencies; attends meetings to receive and convey relevant information including monitoring the work of external contractors and ensuring compliance with specifications and City standards.   Wyoming Water and Wastewater Agency Response Network (WYOWARN) is a network of Wyoming water and wastewater utilities that cooperatively prepare for the next natural or man-made disaster by bridging political and jurisdictional boundaries through training, protocols and mutual aid agreements so that the utilities can respond to events beyond their control by sharing personnel, tools and equipment. Their purpose is to: 1. Expedite the arrival of aid in response to a disaster or event that exceeds the options, resources or capabilities of a utility. 2. Restore hope to Wyoming’s citizens by restoring water and wastewater services following disasters or events that cause service interruptions and exceed the capabilities of local resources. 3. Coordinate increased emergency planning and training with Wyoming water and wastewater organizations. 4. Provide a clearing house of resources and enhance access to resources for utilities within the state. 5. Promote Wyoming’s water and wastewater operators as first responders. Mostrar menos
