The project aimed to computationally design a controlled synthetic genetic circuit such that it would negatively regulate the expression of parasitic target enzyme IPCS and redirect sphingolipid metabolism towards enhanced expression rate of the therapeutic enzyme SMS. The goal was to in silico study the steady state expression pattern of the genes involved in the circuit within a time frame.
