      Eco-divemaster

I completed my PADI Eco-divemaster internship at Barefoot Divers in Roatan Honduras. Barefoot Divers is a 5-star Platinum valet dive resort. As a divemaster I gave dive briefings, provided safety and environmental information, lead guest dives, carried out training, provided full valet service (loading tanks, setting up their equipment, providing water and refreshments on board, maintaining equipment) and filled tanks (compressor experience). As an Eco-divemaster and having extensive marine biology knowledge from my academic career I was able to provide extra information about the dive sites and species that guests observed which made each dive feel special and made them more excited to get back in the water and dive again (repeat customers). Having experience as a customer myself at many dive resorts and training centers across the globe I have an in-depth knowledge from a service-user point of view. This coupled with my experience working at a premium resort as a divemaster I understand the importance of high quality service, but paramount to this the importance to safety first while diving.
