      • Recruiting department head for one of the nation’s largest recruiting districts. Responsible for ensuring the attainment of the Navy’s enlisted recruiting goals through the supervision of over $2 million of resources and 185 recruiters in 56 recruiting offices across Missouri, Kansas, Illinois and Kentucky. • Demonstrated remarkable managerial and budgetary planning skills in ensuring the Navy met or exceeded all national recruiting priorities on a consistent basis. Our district was ranked #1 of 26 recruiting districts across the nation for nuclear programs and I directed our recruiting team to a 77% increase in Naval Special Warfare attainment during FY 2007. The command also achieved 101% active duty mission and a 44% increase in diversity attainment during FY 2007.• Collaborated with senior-level staff to manage the hiring process, performance reviews, employee rankings, promotions, and terminations for Navy recruiting personnel in our four state territory. • Directed oversight of on-boarding, routine sales training and qualification boards for all enlisted recruiters. I also invoked clear and measurable metrics to improve retention in a Delayed Entry Program (DEP) pool of nearly 1,000 recruits awaiting shipment to basic training. Show less

      • Leads and manages 16 recruiters in 4 recruiting offices and responsible for the attainment of the Navy’s enlisted and officer recruiting missions across 19,000 square miles of territory. Identifies prospects, gives presentations, sets appointments, interviews, tests, and counsels Navy officer applicants and develops and manages relationships with faculty and administrators at 7 colleges and universities. Duties also include developing and delivering presentations to executive leadership.• Conducted in-depth market analysis, opportunity identification and reestablished the Navy’s officer recruiting presence in the territory, resulting in new leads and overproduction in many top priority programs, including 400% Naval Flight Officer (NFO) and 200% Surface Warfare Officer (SWO).• Ambitious market penetration led my division to being the top producing territory for the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Scholarship Program in FY 2013. The division achieved 192% of its assigned mission and also produced an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy. Served on two national NROTC scholarship selection boards, reviewing and making selections from over 700 competitive applications.• Guided enlisted recruiters to overproduce and attain 123% active duty mission and achieve a state of consistently surpassing monthly assigned missions two weeks ahead of schedule, creating a model for all other divisions to follow. Show less • Temporarily filled the newly created operations department head position on short notice for 8 months in order to implement Navy Recruiting Command’s national re-alignment initiative. Responsible for ensuring the attainment of qualified applicants for commissioning or enlistment into the Navy through the supervision of over $2 million of resources and 185 recruiters in 56 recruiting offices across Missouri, Kansas, Illinois and Kentucky. I also gave input to the Navy’s overall marketing and advertising strategy for the Midwest region.• Improved processes for talent acquisition, management, tracking, processing, mentoring and physical training while working with reduced resources. Reduced the applicant wait list, saving the Navy $150,000 in expenditures. Also increased active-duty officer production by 22% and reserve officer production by 60% in only five months.• Successfully merged the command’s enlisted and officer recruiting efforts while continuing to give presentations and recruit high-quality technical applicants; personally awarded as the “Nuclear Officer Recruiter of the Year” for FY 2011. Attained over 25 highly sought after individuals for commissioning in the Navy’s most competitive programs, playing a major role in the organization being honored as the “Most Improved Recruiting District” for FY 2009 for the entire western half of the United States.• Mentored officer candidates in all phases of preparation for their ensuing naval careers, resulting in a 100% Officer Candidate School (OCS) graduation rate. Promoted and scheduled Education Orientation Visits (EOVs) to San Diego for high profile engineering professors and academic deans, resulting in increased Navy awareness and product knowledge.• Advised executive leadership on matters pertaining to EO and diversity while serving as Assistant Command Managed Equal Opportunity (CMEO) officer.
