Jan 2000 - Jan 2005During my time working in the Learning and Development department I was, as part of a team, responsible for the following;-booking of employees onto the database system to attend courses both internal and external, entering required information from completed study leave forms received- ensuring all staff training records were current and up to date on the same system - keeping candidates up to date with course information - changes to venue, any cancellations, rescheduling of courses, etc. - ensuring catering requirements were met including dietary/allergy/ethnic diets - the opening of the centre every morning and ensuring all training rooms were set up ready for the day ahead- keeping coffee machines in the centre filled and monies emptied and all accounted for in petty cash- reporting all faults to the on site Facilities Department - Sorting and distributing of post- the closing of the centre at the end of the day, ensuring all equipment borrowed had been returned to the correct location, tidy,clean, locked and secured. Jan 2011 - Dec 2018I undertook additional bank nursing shifts on the adult acute wards in addition to my daily full time job of Ward Clerk based on the same wards.I was based was an adult acute ward for people aged 18 - 65 who suffered from various mental health issues including drug and alcohol abuse, self harm, bipolar disorder, paranoid schizophrenia, anxiety and depression. As a member of the nursing team I attended a handover at the beginning of each shift to be made aware of any and all necessary information in relation to the service users on the ward, I completed medical notes both on paper and on a secure online confidential database system. The service uses also had the opportunity to talk to me on a 1:1 basis to voice any concerns they may have had during that day and also to escort them on leave on or off the hospital grounds where possible to help them with such things as banking, shopping for self cares etc. The people under the care of this Trust were there on an informal basis or detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. As part of this role I completed a Managing Aggression and Violence course. During my shifts I was at times called to use the skills learnt in this course to be part of the response team and to safely restrain services uses who wished to harm themselves or others. I was at all times required to where keys for the ward as well as a personal alarm.I also have experience of being the person of contact when making 999 calls and relaying information between the response team and the emergency call line. Mar 2021 - nowDuring my existing role as Administration Officer I was given the opportunity to work directly within the COVID vaccination team with the Trust, for a period of 4 months this covered a wide range of administrative skills including minutes of meetings and action logs, co-ordination with project leads and site leads for the vaccine clinics, maintaining a timely and up to date booking system as well and developing my knowledge and working with a great team of people during a global pandemic. I also took a lead in delegating essential works to people whilst working in a very fast paced environment in keeping with goverent guidelines. I also took a role on the front line in the vaccination clinic out of our hospital hub in a marshaling capacity when staff were arriving to receive the vaccination at all times adhering to safety measures and guidance.
