As a Graduate Modeller at AECOM I am responsible for carrying out a number of tasks in both GIS and hydraulic modelling. GIS tasks undertaken include automated layer processing of both raster and feature datasets using Model Builder inside ArcMap (ArcGIS suite); using pre-built models in ArcMap together with creating my own for selecting features. Manipulating layer files in geodatabases and using the Spatial Analyst Toolbox. Hydraulic modelling tasks undertaken in InfoWorks ICM. Using InfoWorks ICM I have carried out model building and calibration of a 1D-2D river and surface water network model, using ICMs unique ability to combine both river and pipe networks. In addition to analysing rainfall for calibration events and creating, with the input of more senior colleagues, ISIS ReFH boundaries for input into ICM. Show less
