  Born with a seeking heart, Jennifer accepted the saving love of Jesus Christ on September 17, 2012, and shortly thereafter discerned the calling to share the fruits of that acceptance with her yoga students. She teaches yoga with an emphasis on loving the Lord with our hearts, minds, souls, and bodies, combining prayer, scripture, breath, movement, and worship music. She has been practicing yoga since 2002 (with a particular love for Ashtanga yoga), and completed her 200-hr Multi-Style Yoga teacher training in 2013 with Hawaii Yoga Institute, a school in the Kripalu lineage. She also completed her 95-hour teacher training with Holy Yoga (www.holyyoga.net), which culminated in a week-long Holy Yoga retreat in Arizona in May 2014. Jennifer has subbed and taught regular classes in Hawaii and California, including beginning and intermediate flow, vinyasa, Hatha, and restorative classes. Her classes combine flow, power, and restorative practices to challenge her students to hear the still, small voice inside and worship God body and soul. Show less

  I am a medical massage therapist who collaborates with doctors, surgeons, chiropractors, and physical therapists to help clients heal from chronic pain, injuries, and surgeries. My ambitious goal as a medical massage therapist was to legitimize massage therapy as healthcare; to that end, I fought and won recognition as a healthcare clinic from State of California Worker’s Compensation (giving massage therapists coverage as a medical clinic instead of a barbershop) and Square (allowing massage therapists to take HSA/FSA cards as payment). As a medical massage therapist, I assessed clients, developed long-term care plans, strategized and performed therapy sessions for patients at my medical clinic in Midtown Sacramento incorporating full-body assessments, trigger point therapy, Swedish techniques, energy and deep tissue work. I also led, trained, and mentored a team of medical massage therapists to improve skills & build their practice. I was responsible for business planning & development, customer relations, networking, sales, and marketing for my clinic. In July 2020, I published “Healing Massage: Simple Techniques to Soothe Pain and Find Relief at Home” with Rockridge Press. I taught massage therapy and neuromuscular therapy in private workshops. I also created and delivered massage therapy curriculum at National Holistic Institute (2019-2020) and Massage Therapy Institute (2022-2024). Show less
