    • University of british columbia okanagan

      May 2013 - Aug 2015

The Summer Scholars program is a 2 week program offered internationally to high school students interested in learning about environmental sciences and sustainability. I helped organize the curriculum, asked professors and guest lecturers to participate in this program, and assisted the students in creating their final projects. I created a habitat suitability model for the Rocky Mountain Ridged Mussel (aka Western Ridged Mussel), found in the Okanagan Basin. A combination of field work, statistical modelling in 'R', and GIS applications were used to assist Ministries in creating a management plan for this threatened species.
