      Working in a joint role for both organisations I developed a sector strategy to stimulate growth through innovation, by enabling the realisation of ideas and encouraging early adoption of emerging technologies. This was backed up by addressing the skills need and funding requirements. I led on the £1m Greater Manchester Creative and Digital Launchpad competition in partnership with the Technology Strategy Board.Creative England invests in and supports creative ideas, talent and businesses in film, TV, games and digital media and I worked directly with them to develop and deliver a dynamic strategy and range of suitable services.       A spin out company formed from a partnership between the university of Manchester and the NHS.NWEH changed the landscape of clinical trials by pioneering novel ways to bring new medicines to the right patients, quicker and cheaper by using innovative software that unlocks the value of health and care data in electronic health records for the benefit of patients. NWEH is the only organisation in the world to have evaluated the safety and effectiveness of a pre-license medicine in a real-world setting; developing the technology platform that enabled the delivery of the GlaxoSmithKline Salford Lung Study.Their customers are global pharmaceutical companies and technology partners as well as NHS and government. Woking collaboratively with regulators, payers, health technology agencies and local healthcare ecosystems and they are continuing to lead the way in developing and delivering improvements in health care and research. As business development manager I contributed to the commercial development of strategic and operational planning, balancing the requirements of key stakeholders and our multifaceted technology . I developed the lead generation plan and worked directly with clients to develop project proposals and take overall account management.A key part of my role was to manage the global and UK branding and marketing of NorthWest EHealth, including strategic planning, social media, PR and communications. Show less This role was responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of a £4 million European Region Development Fund (ERDF) SME Health Innovation Programme. Building on the expertise within the Health Innovation Campus and complementary research from across the whole University, it provided funding for 450 SMEs to explore health innovation and catalyse the delivery of new health product and services into the region. Strategically it aligned with the ambitions of the new £41m Health Innovation One building, to be an inspirational space acting as a focal point where diverse stakeholders are able to physically and virtually come together to take an integrated approach to improving health, in line with the aims of the UK’s Industrial Strategy and the NHS long-term plan.The landmark building is also the new home for Lancaster University’s Medical School and Division of Health Research – offering state-of-the-art teaching facilities, including a simulated hospital ward in the Clinical Skills Centre and cutting-edge anatomy suite.Development of the new campus has been supported by Lancashire Enterprise Partnership Growth Deal funding, as well as the European Regional Development Fund.
