      Responsible for the Royal Canadian Navy's national policy for Navigation and Underwater Warfare (UWW). i. Responsible for the RCN national policy and readiness for both Underwater Warfare (UWW) weapons/sensors and Navigational Systems.ii. Provided advice and guidance to Commanders MARLANT and Joint Task Force Atlantic in the areas of UWW and Navigation.iii. Formation Navigation advisor and inspector.iv. Co-chair of the Fleet Navigation Working Group to prioritize/communicate changes and set policy.v. Monitored and recommended the operational readiness levels of RCN units.vi. Reviewed and and set priorities for Engineering Changes to the UWW suite of deploying warships.vii. Headquarters Battle Watch Commander in the Operations Centre for all deployed warships.viii. Managed navigation audits and inspections services for Atlantic Fleet ships and submarines.ix. Conducted annual navigation inspections for Atlantic Fleet ships and submarines to ensure navigational compliance Show less i. Responsible for technical and operational execution of the RJOCA. This OPCEN gathers all relevant information from an event, analyzes the info and then rapidly transmits the correct knowledge from the event to all stakeholders, with recommendations for event management; resulting in the OPCEN becoming the venue for Command event management and recovery. ii. Managed the installation and integration of classified networks into the OPCEN; further managing the delivery of AIS sensing into the Recognized Maritime Picture (RMP).iii. Coordination and approval of all network maintenance. As Building Manager, was responsible for managing and approving any physical or electrical maintenance on the 3 floored facility, this included a level III area as well as alternate power supplies.iv. Responsible for the preparedness of the shielded RJOCA facility and all its associated networks as well as the competency and training of all the staff who populate it 24/7. Knowledge of and experience in the training processes, standards, environments and practices in the CF were essential. v. Responsible for the proper facilitation of the full spectrum of operational training and exercises that was executed from within the OPCEN. This included many domestic and international operations/exercises.vi. Seamlessly integrated with the Other Government Departments that comprise the Marine Security Operations Centre (MSOC) and their co-location inside the RJOCA.vii. Oversaw the compilation and dissemination of the RMP and Recognized Air Picture (RAP) to include the RADARSAT information. This required the collation/communication of all relevant information, the synthesis of that information, which was transmitted to all pertinent stakeholders.       Project Manager for the Royal Canadian Navy's In Service Support Contract for the Victoria Class Submarine trainers (PM managing 7 On Site Representatives (OSRs))i. Responsible for the overall management and coordination of the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) VICTORIA Class Submarine Trainers in Buildings S-15, S-17 & S-100ii. Facility Manager for Building S-100 operations and maintenance iii. Prime contract management with PWGSC. OEM subcontract management for VCT repairs, upgrades and enhancements as well as facility cleaning, safety/security and HVAC maintenance. These OEM subcontracts are managed to ensure the complex VCT systems meet our reliability and availability thresholds to conduct training. Subcontract program management functions include generating Statements of Work and monitoring performance against these requirements. iv. Worked closely with the project accountant to ensure invoices were accurately tracked in accordance with vendor / subcontractor activities and resolved discrepancies to ensure payment or rework in a timely manner.v. As MDA is the prime on the VCT ISSC, managed customer stakeholders both at CFNOS and at DGMEPM via the compilation/production/communication/presentation of monthly/quarterly/annual project reports and progress review meetings.vi. Coordinated and documented audits/inspections to determine compliance with applicable health and safety laws, regulations, policies and instructions. This included both DND audits as well as internal MDA audits.vii. Security cleared embedded contractor status working with ITAR and CGPviii. Proposal Development - co-authored the winning proposal for the $16M VCT ISSC. This included generating budgetary estimates, scheduling and resource planning to ensure the MDA-led team could execute on this program.ix. Accurately established risks using internal and external risk registers. Mitigated and managed risks with monthly disclosure to the customer and internal stakeholders. Show less
