My every day duties were using a bespoke data entry system to book in visits for people and general admin duties in the Visits Booking Team. The team that I was a part of is quoted by government inspectors as being of the highest calibre in the country as we are consistently polite, attentive to detail and go above and beyond the call of duty.       Day to day: Schedule all deliveries/collections throughout the UK business. This includes all imports,exports or other work on Luton vans/trucks. Schedule trucking to and from Europe. Help to raise GMRs and ensure all trucks have thecorrect customs information. Create full delivery routes for all import deliveries to the UK, manually and enter them onto thetwo planners. Liaise with trucking partners/internal truckers to create routes for European trucks. Assign all crews to jobs and ensure the schedules are sent out every week. Book in imports containers for delivery to the warehouse or to site. Book in export containers for delivery to site or to third parties. Reports generated for higher management. General administration duties such as printing crew documents and ensuring that the crewsreturn these to office staff in the correct fashion and in quick order. Point of contact for crews on any jobs for problem resolution. Approve invoices for crew billing. Involved in the recruitment of drivers at short notice for specific jobs.Key achievements: Became a fully qualified first aider in July 2023. Reduced the demurrage and quay rent on containers scheduled from the port, fromthousands per month to practically zero. Single-handedly ran the the entire UK Operations during the summer of 2023. This meant 70hour working weeks, starting from 6am going on until nearly midnight. Became part of the health and safety committee. Became part of the social committee to encourage a positive working environment andexpand the culture of the business. Introduced a number of new ideas to the business including 'Go Share' and 'Go Luxury' whichare two entirely new business brands. This was particularlyfocussed on the import customers and agent bookings (Plus, Topia etc.). Focus quickly changed more to imports scheduling due to clear skill in this area. General administrative duties such as printing work orders for crews, packing lists, manifestsfor the warehouse. Booked in import containers with the warehouse. Arranged haulage from the port to the warehouse.Key achievements: Holds the record in the company for the most import deliveries scheduled out in 1 week(22,300cuft). Increased the Hong Kong imports to the UK from 1 container per week or less to between 6 –8 per week at the least. Over 1500 UK deliveries booked in 20221/22, over 2000 as part of the imports team. Helped to change the imports process from an entirely paper system to an Excel based 'trafficlight' system.
