  I led the development and monitoring of an Innovative project dashboard to efficiently align project implementation to budget expenditure. This tool was able to augment the effective program implementation and resource mobilization for women and youth initiatives. I also led the development of the continental-wide platform that connected young people from 55 member states to access volunteering opportunities. Represented my directorate in working on a Digital skills project with the office of the African Union Chairperson's Youth Envoy and Google Africa, to empower the youth in Africa with digital skills. A total of 7000 young people and startup founders were reached in 8 different Countries. including Ethiopia, Madagascar, Ghana, and South Sudan. Show less

  I am working in the Chief Digital Office at the United Nations Development Programme, where we focus on accelerating solutions to humanity’s most pressing challenges by leveraging innovation and humane technology. Our goal is to build more effective, adaptive, and resilient organizations that can respond to the evolving needs of communities worldwide.In my role, I work closely on projects that center around Digital Public Infrastructure and Open Source technologies. Open Source plays a critical role in digital transformation by offering flexible, transparent, and cost-effective solutions that support governments in creating efficient, citizen-centric, and trustworthy digital services. This work aligns with the broader mission of UNDP to help nations achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Through initiatives like the Open Source Ecosystem Enabler (OSEE), I co lead in enhancing the capacity of local and regional public and private actors to adopt open-source technologies. This initiative supports the delivery of digital government services across three integrated streams:- Open-Source Ecosystem Enablement Framework (OSEEF) – documenting best practices and successful initiatives to foster the adoption of open source.- Open-Source Technical Facility (OSTF) – providing technical support to overcome challenges in implementing open-source technologies.- Global Knowledge Hub for Open-Source Public Services – developing training, advocacy, and communication materials to further open-source adoption globally. I was specifically in charge of community management and contributing to digital inclusion and the capacity-building component of developing the OSEE framework for targeted countries.
