  • Visual Inspection on welding joints at IPSM Clients Coal Fired Power Plants (Tanjung Bin Power Plant, for boiler repair works according to ASME I BPVC• Perform inspection activities as per client Inspection test Plan (ITP) and client specifications and ensuring all hold points are inspected and witnessed by Client Inspector.• Ensuring all markings made on sacrificial and repair joints by sub contractor are correct before proceeding with cutting, lifting and repair works.• Ensure repair Material at site is as per boiler drawing specs upon arrival at site.• Ensure joints fit ups as per weld map.• Report on site progress to site coordinator.• Inspect material, safety and consumables before start of hot/welding work.• Comply to usual duties of Welding inspector (before, during and after welding) • Conduct sponge in, out and boroscope on boiler tube after cleaning and right before fit up for vertical tube to avoid any foreign material or blockage on boiler tube.• Ensure repair tube are marked and inspected by sub contractor and client inspector representative after every inspection activities done as per ITP.• To apply request for NDT (UTTG, Dye Pen, Phased Array Ultrasonic and Hardness Test) on welded joints as per ITP.• Witness Pre & Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) on joints that involved T91 material an ensure PWHT does not exceed required time to avoid joints over baked. • Final inspection with Malakoff Representative • Verify all QA/QC Reports on boiler repair (repair joints) area such as Screen Tube, Final Super Heater, Reheater and Nose membrane fin repair and economizer is correct.
