  I wrote copy on a voluntary basis for Oxfam’s online shop between 1-3 days in any given week. This involved working through a rail of assigned items of clothing to create a detailed and accurate listing for each one. To do this, I familiarized myself with specialized language pertaining to clothing styles and fabric. I also included specific measurements and other relevant details such as washing instructions and prices, abiding by house rules for a consistent, organized presentation. This meant that a customer could make a fully informed purchase decision. I focused particularly on ensuring my descriptions were thorough and offered a dynamic use of language to grab interest and encourage sales. My listings raised almost £8000 in total. Show less
