  I was tasked with leading the team of SDGs Advocates in Kibiya Local Government to drive meaningful change in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. As is the custom in the local government, which operates as a sub-zone under the state's branch, projects are carried out batch by batch.For my batch, I effectively led the executive team and CDS members in reaching an underserved community through a project focused on SDG 13 - Climate Action. We planted 30 trees of two different varieties. The project was warmly received by the village's Elders, and as a sign of their support, the village head immediately appointed some youths to be responsible for tending the trees. Show less
