      I researched the molecular and physiological basis for desiccation sensitivity in seeds of Castanospermum australe. I also co-supervised MSc and PhD students investigating the molecular responses of resurrection plants to dehydration. This work was done in the Molecular and Cell Biology Department (Plant Stress Lab), to which I brought 78k ZAR in acquired grants.
