Then at times I would offer more of a mental support and a third person perspective on how to properly deal with certain life issues that are specific to each student.

  I would collaborate with professional staff to advise drop in students on strategies for their academic success. This would include items like five day study plans or weekly schedules so students could plan out the appropriate amount of time for homework and studying but also the appropriate day to do it as well. This would also include recruiting students for our Supplemental Instruction program which helped go over the class notes from that specific day. I would also give presentations to full classrooms of students on various academic improvement strategies that they could apply immediately to their everyday routine. Show less
