  Associate researcher - urban research

  Urban Research Associate At Everyday City Lab, my focus was to understand, document and investigate everyday practices in an urban environment, with a special focus on the streets. My role as an on-ground researcher was to engage in qualitative investigative field work, conduct oral interviews, data- collection, synthesis, analysis, documentation, mapping, rigorous archiving, reading and writing. I have assisted extensively on an on-going research project related to ‘Tree worship & Urban space’.Undertook qualitative interviews on a project focused on urban informality and was also involved in developing a framework for street patterns in Indian CitiesI have also contributed to the book : The Sacred and the Public. (Azim-Premji University Grant) where I documented and wrote about "Ashwath Kattes" - a stone platform under the shade of the Peepal Tree, with sacred idols below it. I have further contributed to the same study by documenting and mapping in detail a number of 'kattes' in different locations of Bengaluru. (an ongoing paper) I have also conducted and interacted with over 40/50 street vendors in markets of Bengaluru for a project that focused on understanding changing street patters under special conditions.
