      Activities and Societies: PhD Programme in Translation and Intercultural Studies Postediting competence is a relatively new area of research and the ways in which posteditors can acquire this skill has been given very little academic attention to date. As a result, there are very few training proposals for enhancement of PE skills. The objective of this research is to shed light on what the competence actually is and how it can be acquired. To this end, the thesis aims at developping and validating a teaching proposal to facilitate the process of PE competence acquisition.
