I managed the calibration of Electronic Balances, Nuclear Density Gauges, Modified Compaction Hammers and Reference Thermometers.Other testing I undertook in the lab included Particle Size Distribution and Emerson testing.As a Field Technician I was able to work on earthworks sites doing nuclear density testing .       I have been working at Douglas Partners in the Geo-environmental science / Geotechnical engineering section for approximately 1 year now. My work as a geo-environmental scientist has mostly consisted of Preliminary Site Investigations (PSI) with limited sampling.Whilst my work in the geotechnical engineering section has mostly consisted of remote work to Indigenous communities for site classifications.Last year I also gained some experience with investigation for groundwater resources on the Antrim Basalt, south-west of Katherine.Academically my scope is still fairly limited but I am steadily gaining experience accross multiple disciplines and I hope to continue to work on a variety of interesting projects in 2019 and thereafter.
