  Main duties of Engineer - Projects at Advanced Building Solutions (ABS) include site supervision, planning and implementing quality check cycles of Electrical and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) construction sites. Had managed the electrical and HVAC works of several ABS constructions sites across kerala. The number of construction sites managed by a single engineer depends on the number of ABS projects at a given location and the size of each project.Apart from electrical construction and maintenance management, the duties also include estimation, planning and drafting of electrical wiring.   Worked as Software Analyst in GIS domain of ULTS, the new position was a promotion from the previous role. As the role got promoted, I had the opportunity to work on various new technologies in both GIS app development as well as usual web development. The primary python tasks were development of modules in Drishti application (Django Framework) for data migration, image migration, data update and data standardization.About the application: Drishti is a GIS (Geographic Information System) based product developed by UL Technology Solutions for property management purposes in local self-governing bodies like panchayats/municipalities/corporations all across India. The technologies used were Django(back-end), ReactJS (front-end), PostgreSQL(Database) and Geoserver(For spatial data processing). Drishti was also made for the purpose of replacing another application named IPMS, which served similar features earlier. Since it was a facelift for IPMS, all the data present in IPMS portal was standardized to newer data standards of Drishti and were migrated to the new portal.Tasks done in Drishti: - Handled and prepared SQL and python code for standardizing and migrating data from old DBMS to Drishti’s RDBMS.- Developed module for image migration from old application to Drishti.- Developed SQL triggers and python code for data update in data tables.- Managed database, data standards and data changes in Drishti.Other tasks/responsibilities taken: - Executed and handled data standardization, management and migration process using PostgreSQL for "GIS data analysis using Tableau" module developed Data Analytics team of ULTS. In addition to that, I also got the opportunity to do the cleansing and processing of real world data using Excel, SQL and ETL.- Worked as an associate in odoo based fleet management solution.- Did mild front-end development (using react) for internal applications.- Did static web development of ULGIS webpage. During this period, I got the opportunity to learn and do back-end development and bug fixes in spring (java) and spring boot for Integrated Property Management (IPMS), a GIS (Geographic Information System) based product developed by ULTS. Had managed the database side of IPMS in postgreSQL. I also got the opportunity to develop and implement tools in GIS using ESRI tools and development platforms, geoserver, openlayers,etc.More about IPMS: Intelligent Property Management System (IPMS) is a GIS-based web-portal developed by ULTS for all Local State Government Departments to regulate tax fixing of property and property ownership data within the jurisdiction of the respective authority.
