  •Seconded to various major road projects to oversee all traffic management duties including directing traffic and spotting using a stop-and-go bat, setting up the work sites, signage and barricading of the work areas•Responsible for all work allocations for up to 40 operators and traffic controllers including managing multiple jobs sites simultaneously, organising all equipment maintenance activities and signing off on all paperwork •Utilise effective two-way radio communication with all operators, pedestrians and traffic including relaying any traffic management plans, directing traffic and managing all public interactions•Liaising with the client regarding changes to jobs specifications and ensuring that all works are completed on time and within the scope of work•Safely operated LV’s and Pod/ Freeway Trucks driving to conditions and transporting equipment and personnel to and from the work site•Cleaning vehicles as per cleaning schedules along with using the correct chemicals and P.P.E as per MSDS guidelines and refuelling all vehicles at the end of each shift•Ensure that all paperwork and reports are accurately filled in and handed in all relevant paperwork and run sheets•Relay all key operational and safety information to staff via morning pre-start and monthly toolbox meetings including safety information, traffic management plans, equipment allocations and scheduled maintenance activities•Conduct detailed pre-start inspections of all vehicles and equipment prior to operating- checking all isolations, electrics, belts, tyre pressure, communication systems, fluid levels and tagging out any defective equipment •Ensure full compliance with all OH&S procedures including START Cards, JHA’s, SWMS, hazard identification and reporting and conducting regular workplace inspections and audits Show less
