      Coordinated Policy, Systems, and Environmental, PSE, support activities for the Eat Smart New York (USDA SNAP-ED grant) that pertain to Gardens and Wellness Councils.Designed and implemented a Gardening 101 adult course to form community gardens at CA community schools in the Bronx to promote a sustainable and shared garden maintenance design. Designed and implemented gardening cornerstone family events. Supported infrastructure and growth of school and center based garden spaces.Took a supportive leadership role on multiple school wellness councils where we focused on actionable goals. Wellness councils included DOE staff, students, parents, and other CBO's in the mission to support both physical and emotional wellness at their sites. This role also included supporting applications for mini school wellness and garden grants as well as applying for wellness related awards that the sites showed interest in. Led a team of instructors in delivering classes which are held during after-school and summer programs across 15 Children's Aid community schools and centers located throughout Washington Heights, Harlem, Staten Island, and the South Bronx.Go!Chefs and Gardening are part of the larger Go!Healthy Programs, a healthy eating and wellness initiative for children from birth through adolescence and beyond, which includes hands-on cooking, nutrition education, gardening, food justice and a meal service program that is cooked from scratch and based on whole and plant foods.Individual responsibilities included: Supervising programming across sites, hiring, training, mentoring and overseeing Go!Chef and Garden instructors.
