      Worked in bilingual office and remotely for the Center that has played a leading role among U.S. universities in conducting research, training, and victim advocacy aimed at combating modern slavery. Over the course of working at the Center the 2004 Report Florida Responds to Human Trafficking, one of the first U.S. research projects to analyze human trafficking beginning with direct victim interviews, was being conducted by the Center. In addition to the creation of a Strategic Plan for Florida to coordinate statewide efforts to eliminate trafficking and to assist victims. In my role I translated documents from Spanish into English, developed fundraising plan, built a grant resource data base, assisted in research to support client cases, and drafted grant applications. As a result from my time at the Center I developed extensive knowledge of human trafficking, prevention, and abuse experienced by immigrants. Show less

Created accessible materials for people with limited English proficiency, work with Youth Advisory Board to create violence prevention items for youth in Florida. Offered multiple training webinars including quarterly webinars with the 42 certified domestic abuse centers and other statewide and government organizations. Created statewide Primary Prevention Social Marketing Plan for the 42 domestic abuse centers and assisted each center in creating their own Social Marketing Plan. Invited to speak at the 2015 Biannual Institute for Trauma Informed Services and presented on the topic of Planning for the needs of Latin American Immigrants who are experience Intimate Partner Violence. Work on the Economic Justice Initiative to provide information and resources to address the economic conditions that create barriers to the long-term independence and safety of survivors of domestic violence and their children.Oversaw the spending of federally awarded grant, worked with local partner to meet deliverables, wrote semi-annual reports, and approved monthly release of funds.
