      Previous 5-year career experience as a chef. Roles demanded focus, attention to details and quality within a high speed environment. The nature of a restaurant kitchen required ‘thick skin’ and ability to handle stressful and frank communication from co-workers. Long hours and flexibility to function in different management structures, including vertical and flat operations. Beyond food preparation, role required maintaining supply and quality of produce, communicating with suppliers and understanding customer needs.Completed my apprenticeship in England, followed by full-time work in Swedish restaurants, including working in cold larder at the fine dining shellfish restaurant, G.Svensson Krog in Torekov. Continued working part-time in food preparation while studying full-time. Duties included planning of buffet and menu, ordering stock supplies, maintaining occupational health and safety, food preparation in addition to daily working schedules. Show less

After closing, the role required balancing the cash register and ensuring the premise was clean and ready for the following days activities. In addition, prepared samples and performed lab-technical measurements on drill core samples at the Geoscience Experimental Lab for studies on magnetic properties of rocks. Used MFK1 KappaBridge equipment to gather data on parameters dependent on temperature, frequency, field strength and material specific properties. The work demanded thoroughness, attention to detail and systematic routines to ensure statistical accuracy.

      Contacted and scheduled site visits from Lulea to Uppsala during a 5-day site visit by researchers from the German institute. Liaised between land owners and the visiting researchers, providing interpreting and other assistance as requested by both parties. Was on duty for the duration of the assignment and learnt about seismic measurements in Northern Sweden.

This included driving and walking through forests with heavy equipment in accordance to local regulation. Data was gathered adjacent to active mines using ground magnetometer and drill holes were logged in ongoing prospecting areas.
