      Jan 2011 - Dec 2014

As part of the FOETALIM project, I characterized the effects of the maternal environment in pregnancy/lactation on the metabolism and osteochondrosis development of foals (0 to 2 years old), using two experimental models: (1) between-breed embryo transfers and (2) supplementation of broodmares with a concentrate feed. This project was funded by the French Institute for Horse and Riding and by the INRA department Animal Physiology and Breeding Systems. Characterization of structural and functional adaptations of the placenta in intrauterine growth retarded piglets, using a natural model of hyperprolific sows.

      • PhD student

        Jul 2011 - Dec 2014
      • MSc student

        Jan 2011 - Jul 2011
    • Foalinet

      Oct 2014 - Feb 2017
      Co-founder and project manager

During my PhD, I identified a lack of data on the "Developmental Origins of Health and Disease" concept in the equine species. This led to the development of FoaliNet, the first epidemiological study that aims to clarify the impact of maternal environment on the health, well-fare and performance of young horses. Data will be collected using an innovative web application that will also offer breeders a dematerialized version of their breeding farm records.

    • Mwm biomodels

      Feb 2015 - Feb 2016
Marie-curie innovative training network postdoctoral fellowship

As part of the European program EpiHealthNet, I was in charge of characterizing a transgenic porcine model of maternal diabetes in pregnancy for biomedical research. In addition, I provided guidelines for in vivo assessment of glucose homeostasis in the porcine species, in the form of a scientific review article.
