      When Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse merged, I said to the new Marketing boss "all our mailshots, databases and events in the Midlands region are duplicted". "You've got that job" he said. Never looked back. Doesn't everyone start their Marketing career in events and mailshots? Well, I did. An era of envelopes and stamps to send invites and RSVPs. Email was brand new, and called new media.

      Law Firm CRM Database Manager

      Brought in to sort out a single marketing system for the firm after the Pinsent & Simpson Curtis merger. Moved the firm from multiple 'name and address lists' into one with 'self selected business interests' for the contacts. Won two industry awards (one in the 'legal marketing' industry, one in 'open to all industries') as a result of the turnaround. Then merged the lists and CRM databases from 4 mergers (and acted as an internal CRM database consultant), being; #1 Biddle (2001), #2 Garretts (2002) #3 Masons (2004), #4 McGrigors (2012)Developed and implemented the firm's CRM database system from numerous excel (and Lotus Notes databases). Starting at 700 UK users - finished at 2,300 globally based users. Integrated users, protocols, processes and data through four mergers. Also responsible for developing and implementing the firm's eMarketing and CRM database strategies in this top 15 UK law firm. Not scared about using new systems, during the Pinsent Masons and McGrigors merger, I merged the Pinsent Masons' CRM database and users into the McGrigors' system (InterAction & Tikit eMerge), but implemented the Pinsent Masons' systems, processes & protocols.... After this latest merger of law firms, the result was one Global CRM Database system with 2,500 users. Swapped SalesLogix to use LexisNexis' InterAction CRM system and Tikit's eMerge for eMailshots (upgrading McGrigors versions). Then added a few things to 'give it a bit of a polish'.... - Added Fellsoft's 'AlertsPlus' to send triggered activity alerts to lawyers' inboxes, - Setup robust data integrity and enhancement programmes, - Trained the IT trainers' and IT Support desk and teams, - Initiated user surveys (you can't manage what you don't monitor!), - Setup the global eLearning material (WebEx demos and recordings) for all users, and - Managed the merge-purge of the data.       Founded Promptr, and run the team powering it so that Lawyers don’t have to lift a finger to see the benefit of CRM for law firms. I run the team that provides the software, updates the data in it, trains the users, and run reports and alerts for small to medium sized law firms.
